Frequently Asked Questions - The N-Lite Laser

What is the N-Lite Laser?
The N-Lite Laser is the first breakthrough in skin rejuvenation in 15 years, and it is the first laser cleared by the FDA for wrinkle reduction. Unlike other lasers used to smooth the skin, the N-Lite treatment is non-invasive. In fact, an N-Lite treatment does not break the surface of the skin. There is no "down-time", no anesthesia required, no pain, no redness, and no after-treatment regimen. One can have the treatment and immediately return to their daily schedule.

How does the N-Lite Laser work?
The N-Lite Laser focuses on the collagen-producing layer of the skin (the dermis) to stimulate the growth of a cell called a "fibroblast". Fibroblasts are the collagen forming cells of the skin, and when the N-Lite stimulates their growth, new collagen will form in a wrinkle. This will cause a wrinkle to fill in from the bottom-up. The wrinkles will gradually fill in over a four-month period. One can expect to see between 30 to 70% reduction in wrinkling in the treated areas.

When will I see the results?
Improvement will be seen in about 3-5 months.

How often will I need treatment?
Results will be seen with only one treatment. However, the best results are seen with 2 treatments, spread 2 months apart. The collagen that regrows will remain.

How long does the treatment take?
It takes about 20-30 minutes for a treatment.

How much does it cost?
For treatment of wrinkles:

  around the eyes:
around the mounth:
around the face:

around the neck:

How do I prepare for an appointment for the N-Lite Laser?
Come in for your appointment with a clean face - no lotions or creams or makeup of any kind. Drink 4 glasses of water 3 hours before your appointment - hydrated skin will have more positive results. Try to avoid aspirin and Ibuprofen for 2 days before and 2 weeks after the treatment, Tylenol is O.K.

What do I do after the treatment?
You may immediately resume all activities including your normal skin care regimen. Cosmetics and lotions can be applied immediately if desired.

How can I maintain the benefits of my N-Lite treatment?
Wear sunscreen daily. Use a topical vitamin C and a topical Retinol daily (available online or at Dr. Glavey's office).
